Arlyn is passionate about her work.
For more than two decades, Arlyn Riskind has raised awareness about public health and medical issues affecting how people live and enjoy their lives.
Her experience includes launching Surgeon General reports on gun violence and suicide prevention, releasing a seminal report on end-of-life care, communicating about substance abuse prevention, raising mental health awareness, and supporting reauthorization of the Ryan White Care Act for people with HIV/AIDS.
While at the Endocrine Society, she promoted science aimed at improving the lives of those with diabetes, obesity, and other life-challenging disorders and diseases.
Originally hired as a member of our team at GYMR Public Relations, Arlyn now consults with McCabe Message Partners on numerous projects. She is an excellent writer and media pitcher.
Arlyn has a master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. She is on the board of DC’s Micah House, a transitional home for women in recovery from substance abuse. New to empty nesting, Arlyn and her husband enjoy all sporting activity.
